Kevin McKeon, a Democratic operative who spent four cycles as an aide at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, will join Putnam Partners as a senior vice president, according to an announcement provided first to CQ Roll Call.
“Kevin is an accomplished campaign strategist with the experience to help our candidates and other clients run smarter and more effective campaigns” Mark Putnam, the firm's founding partner, said in a release. “Kevin brings years of experience at the DCCC helping win tough data driven and aggressive campaigns using the latest technology and analytics.”
Most recently, McKeon served as the deputy executive director of the DCCC's independent expenditure arm, responsible for tens of millions in ad spending on House contests across the country.
Prior to that, McKeon helped build the DCCC's research department, serving as the research director for both the 2010 and 2012 cycles.
Putnam Partners is one of the top Democratic media firms in the country, producing some of the most widely recognized ads of the past few cycles. The firm's clients include a number of senators, governors and President Barack Obama.
