Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., will go unopposed in the general election after his Democratic opponent announced he will instead run for the state Senate.

Christopher Duncan, who challenged  Posey in 2012 as a write-in candidate and is legally blind after losing his sight to glaucoma, said he would choose to run for the Senate's 17th district seat.
