Anti-Abortion Marchers Describe New Optimism in Era of Trump

For most of her life, Gina Garvey has trekked to the Washington mall to join abortion opponents in the annual March for Life.

On Friday, the crowd was similar to so many others she had seen: people hoisting signs that denounced Planned Parenthood and declared that life is beautiful; nuns and priests in habits; school groups in colorful knit hats; so many people that at times it was difficult to move.

Snow or Shine, Roe v. Wade Events to Continue

Despite the snowpocalypse expected to hit the East Coast on Friday, leaders on both sides of the issue are gearing up to mark another anniversary of the Supreme Court’s abortion decision.  

Since the year after Roe v. Wade in 1973, anti-abortion advocates have been protesting every year on the anniversary at the March for Life, the organizers say that despite the forecast, this year's March for Life will not be canceled  on Friday.
