In one congressional office, there could be a dog standing on a table at any given time. Veterinarian-turned-politician Rep. Ted Yoho’s extracurricular from his day job is consulting for his colleagues on their pets.

“When I came up here, there was a freshman that came in with me,” said the representative from Florida's 3rd District. "He was telling me, ‘Hey, my wife had to take my cat to the vet and they did a sex change operation on it. What do they do that for?’”

Congressional Baseball Managers Joe L. Barton, R-Texas, and Mike Doyle, D-Pa., interrupted a series of votes Wednesday to once again bring the coveted Roll Call trophy to the House chamber, marking the Democrats' seventh-straight victory over the Republicans in the 54th Annual Roll Call Congressional Baseball Game on June 11. With the victory, Democrats now lead the all-time series by one game, 39-38-1.

In a break from decorum, the team managers addressed not only one another, but addressed other players by their first names on the floor. Barton commended his team’s effort and warned Doyle the GOP is “back."
