House Members Needing and Paying for Attorneys

At any given time there are always some members of the House of Representatives who find themselves in the need of having to pay for attorneys and legal services. In some instances, a member may have been dealing with the House Office of Congressional Ethics or the House Ethics Committee, such as Reps. Andrews, Bachmann, Bishop, Grimm, McMorris Rodgers, Mullin, Owens, and Schock.  

In the first quarter of this year, here are some of the large payments.  

Republican Members Move Last-Minute Money To David Jolly in Florida Special Election

Republican members of Congress are sending last-minute campaign contributions to win a special election in Florida on March 11th.  

Campaign finance reports for the campaigns of Republican David Jolly  and Democrat Alex Sink,  in the 13th District of Florida are due on Thursday and will disclose donors and disbursements from January 1 through February 19th. But last-minute contribution notices of contributions of $1,000 or more are required to be filed within 48-hours, between February 20th and March 8th.
