Two New York Billionaires Each Give $250K to Pro-Cochran Super PAC

Two New York billionaires have each sent a $250,000 contribution to a Mississippi super PAC supporting Sen. Thad Cochran.  

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg , the billionaire owner of Bloomberg LP, and Sean Parker, co-founder of Napster, have each contributed $250,000 to Mississippi Conservatives , a super PAC supporting the Mississippi senator in his Republican primary runoff.

Individuals and organizations are continuing to add more funds to Super PACs for use on independent expenditures in the 2014 elections.  

New political finance reports covering February financial activity show wealthy individuals and organizations are strengthening the accounts of Super PACs with contributions of $100,000 or more.  

Adelson Starts Moving 2014 Political Contributions

An American casino and resort operating company run by a major national Republican donor has contributed $200,000 to a Republican Section 527 Committee that supports state and local candidates.  

In a new report covering January financial activity, the Republican State Leadership Committee, a Section 527 organization, reported Sheldon Adelson's Las Vegas Sands Corporation  contributed $200,000. Adelson is chairman and CEO of the gaming company. In 2013, the company gave $450,000 to the RSLC. In 2013, Adelson gave $1 million to the Republican Governors Association.
