Clawson Is Newest Millionaire In Congress

A millionaire, who self-financed most of his congressional campaign, was sworn in yesterday as the newest member of Congress.  

Realtors, Goldman Sachs, Comcast Move Money to Cantor

New fundraising reports show the Realtors have engaged more than 75 individual realtors from 35 states to contribute during March to the leadership PAC of Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., the House Majority Leader.  

The Realtors PAC gave Cantor's PAC, Every Republican is Crucial (EricPAC) , $5,000, and 77 realtors from 35 states contributed $34,500 more.  

Firman Total to Pro-Kreegel Super PAC Goes Over $900K

A Super PAC that has been active in spending in Florida's special election to fill the seat of former Rep. Trey Radel, R-Fla., had receipts of $1.1 million during the first quarter of the year.  

Values are Vital , a Super PAC, reported  it had receipts of $1,102,000 and disbursements of $1,985,008 from January 1 to April 2nd., leaving $126,991 cash on hand.

Campaign finance lawyers have been busy in the last few months providing legal services to members of Congress, Super PACs, and presidential campaigns.  

Several Senate and House members  dealt with serious campaign finance legal questions and investigations during the last quarter of 2013.
