Senator Richard Burr’s, R-N.C., beloved Volkswagen Thing faced some problems on Wednesday, with the North Carolina Republican tweeting a photo of three men pushing his car on the side of a road.

The consulting firm IMGE has hired Mindy Finn as a senior adviser. Finn’s background is in digital strategy and she is the brains behind the non-profit website, the Empowered Women project .  

Ben Sasse Heads to Trump's Twitter Grounds

   

Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., is engaging presidential hopeful Donald Trump, a notorious tweeter, and questioning everything from what his governing style would be if he were president to revisiting Trump's extramarital affair with Marla Maples. This isn't the first time the freshman senator has archly mused about a Trump presidency. In December, he spoke about the topic on the Senate floor, and his skepticism was unmistakable.

Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., welcomed everyone back from the holidays Monday and his cats helped out.  

In a tweet this morning, the 75-year-old is "playing" with his two cats while wearing a suit in a driveway with a basketball hoop.

Just as there was a glimmer of hope late last month that House Republican leaders would try to pass an immigration overhaul this year, Sen. Ted Cruz and his staff mobilized to extinguish it. It was a one-two punch that showcased the stature of one of the Texas Republican's top aides.  

While Cruz countered House leaders' rollout of their immigration principles on conservative outlets like Breitbart News, Amanda Carpenter, who helps formulate and amplify Cruz's message as his senior communications adviser and speechwriter, slung slices of red meat on Twitter.
