Woody Johnson, Republican megadonor and owner of the NFL’s New York Jets, is reportedly being considered for a top foreign ambassador post in the new year.

Johnson is the most recent in a long line of Trump financial backers to be tapped for possible high-level government positions, and, according to the New York Post’s Page Six , is in the running to be named U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom.

The United Kingdom's decision to leave the European Union is the second major blow to President Barack Obama — and his legacy — in as many days.

The country's historic referendum decision, which brought the resignation — effective in October — of U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron was made official one day after the Supreme Court left Obama's immigration executive order frozen in perpetuity.

World leaders are leery of a potential Donald Trump presidency because they are worried he possesses an “ignorance” about world affairs, President Barack Obama said Thursday.  

"They're rattled by him and for good reason," Obama said in Japan during a G-7 summit. "Because a lot of the proposals that he's made display either ignorance of world affairs or a cavalier attitude or an interest in getting tweets and headlines instead of actually thinking through what is required to keep America safe."
