Ryan: No 'Religious Test' for Syrian Refugees

In a one-minute speech Wednesday, Speaker Paul D. Ryan touted a bill calling for a pause in in the admittance of Syrian refugees to the U.S., asserting that the screening process for refugees would be based on security, not religion.

“If the intelligence and law enforcement community cannot certify that a person presents no threat, than they should not be allowed in,” Ryan said. "This is common sense.”
