Fired Clinton Campaign Manager Named to Run Obama’s VP Campaign

Democratic presidential frontrunner Barack Obama fired a powerful salvo today at former rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton by hiring her deposed and estranged campaign manager, Patti Solis Doyle, to serve as chief of staff to an unnamed vice presidential candidate.
Clinton supporters have been publicly advocating that Clinton get the second spot on the ticket while Obama surrogates have thrown cold water on the idea.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton said nothing could be inferred about Obama’s thoughts on a vice presidential candidate from the hiring of Solis Doyle, which was announced along with several other new posts Monday afternoon.
But a Clinton insider, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told CQ Politics that the subtext is clear.
“Translated subtitles aren’t necessary,” the insider said. “There is no other way to interpret this other than ‘[Expletive] you.’” Burton declined to comment on the Clinton camp’s reaction to the appointment.
Solis Doyle, who had served as Clinton’s scheduler when the senator was first lady and in various capacities since then, was ousted as campaign manager a few days after the “Super Tuesday” Feb. 5 primaries. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month that the two - who used to be extremely close - have not spoken since, though Solis Doyle continued to draw a salary of nearly $12,000 per month from the Clinton campaign at least through the end of April, according to federal election records.

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Patty Solis Doyle, sister of Chicago's 25th Ward Alderman Danny Solis, is a product of the same corrupt Chicago/Crook County Democratic machine that spawned Barack Obama, and whose behind-the-scenes puppet master is King Richard Daley II. Danny Solis is one of his most loyal rubber-stampers in the Politburo that we call our City Council, and nothing here happens politically w/o Daley's OK. If you knew just how dirty politics is in ILLinois, which is not so much a state as it is a racket, you would puke. Both major parties here are morally and ethically bankrupt.
The current relationship between Clinton and Solis Doyle is reminiscent of the one between Lauren 'LC' Conrad and Heidi Montag from "The Hills." The latter two also used to be close but now no longer speak.

Burton's declination regarding the Rodhamista hierarchy's response says it all, it seems. However, the real '#$%@ you' moment shall be on its way when it becomes public knowledge that the Obama camp will do a no-holds-barred, thoroughgoing vetting of one William Clinton; of course, for the sake of the appearance of impartiality, it would no doubt apply the same degree of intensity towards Elizabeth Edwards, Barbara Richardson, and other spouses of potential wannabes.
Clinton surrogates should not be strong-arming Barack Obama to make Hillary his VP. The chose is his not theirs; Obama has said in the past the Hillary would be on the short list for VP. His word is his bond and people should take the Barack at his word. Just because Solis-Doyle has been taped to serve as chief of staff to VP does not mean Obama has ruled Sen.Clinton out as VP.
In order to vet Pres Clinton he would have to begin by turning the papers over to the vetters first. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. DONE DEAL BEFORE IT EVEN BEGINS!
It's customery to hire the staff of the losing candidate,so their people can stayed employed.Even some of her orhers will land with other democrats i.e. congressman,and senators.When Hillary and Barack met,I;m sure staff was discussed and him helping her retire her debt,among other things.
i believe senator obama's choice as VP chief of staff, does not necessarily reflect any opinion he may have of hillary clinton as his vp. i would certainly, as would many other of her supporters, welcome his choice as hillary clinton as vp.

Sure, Obama's word is his bond like Tom stated... Oh, wait a minute, there was that little campaign promise to accept public money...ahh wait my bad, that doesn't count, that was only about money, not people...
