Democratic Delegate Count
The Democratic delegate counts includes about 800 party and elected officials known as superdelegates. For example, all Democratic members of Congress are superdelegates. AP surveys these delegates to see who they are supporting at any given time, and includes them in this total. Republicans have no such category.

- Obama and Edwards were not on the ballot
- 40% of voters were uncommitted in the Democratic primary.
